The Otis Linde facility held its annual food drive in conjunction with the Linde Cares United Way Campaign during the month of November. The facility had a tremendous employee turnout with generous donations to both activities. The Otis employees collected over 400 pounds of food that will be distributed to two local food banks.
This year, a new contest was held with all employees divided into two teams. Each team had a team captain and each team member could earn one point by donating food to the food drive, and a second point by donating to the Linde Cares United Fund Campaign. The team captains were Terry Highfill, instrument tech, and Butch Davis, transport drive,r with the winning team rewarded with a catered meal.
Linda Bahr is the local Linde Cares champion. She has led the campaign for several years with outstanding results. Tom Pivonka, supply area manager said, “Linda has done a great job leading the local Linde Cares campaign. She has embraced the HPO vision ‘I am Taking the Lead’ with the local campaign which has provided significant benefits for the local community.”
