Mary Kay Chemo Care packages were delivered recently to the staff at Heartland Cancer Center by Mary Kay Sr. Sales Director Jil Johnson.
The staff will pass out over 70 gifts that were sponsored by various businesses and individuals from Great Bend, Hoisington and Ellinwood.
“The goal is to bless as many people as possible who are receiving treatments in our central Kansas area with these Chemo Care packages,” Johnson said. “One side effect of patients receiving chemotherapy is drying of the skin. Our Chemo Care packages address that issue for both men and women. My hope is that these gifts will not only help with dry skin but bring a smile to the patients who receive them, knowing that our community is thinking of them at this time.
“I would like to express my thanks to all the area businesses that sponsored the program making the deliveries possible,” said Johnson.
The Chemo Care program is an ongoing service project. For more information, contact Johnson.
