Great Bend Regional Hospital welcomed 115 preschool students for a day of medical learning and fun. Students participated in learning events that consisted of “Why Shots Are Good for You”, “Germs – Go Away”, “Surgeons in Training”, and “Vitals – How I Tick”. Helping Hands Preschool brought two groups of students on April 4th to experience a day at the hospital.
Adina Gregory, Chief Nursing Officer, “Coming to the hospital can be a scary experience for everyone. We were excited to show the students some fun things that happen at the hospital, hopefully making the hospital not so intimidating should they have to return.”
Everyone felt that the day was a success including one student that said “This was the best field trip ever!” Great Bend Regional Hospital looks forward to making this an annual event with Helping Hands Preschool.
