Robin Fabricius, Chair of the ElderCare Board of Directors of the local non-profit agency, has announced new staff. Gaila A. Nielsen will be the Executive Director for ElderCare, Inc. Nielsen will direct the Home Care and Nutrition divisions of the agency. Nielsen was with Legend Senior Living in Topeka and Lawrence as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, Ellinwood School District and Alterra Healthcare in Great Bend.
Brandi Gruber, RRT, SDS, will be the Care Manager for the Home Services division which provides in-home care in eight counties. Gruber comes to ElderCare from St. Rose ASC (formerly Central Kansas Medical Center) as Respiratory Therapist, Director of Cardiopulmonary Services, Sleep Disorder Center, and Medical Equipment and Supply Chain Management.
Debbie Tillotson, MS, RD will be the Registered Dietitian for the Friendship Meals division directing nutrition education and menu development. Tillotson has worked at Larned State Hospital, Clara Gerwick Consulting, Central Kansas Medical Center, Western Plains Medical Center-Dodge City and Wesley Medical Center-Wichita as Clinical Dietitian.
Janet Splitter, Executive Director of ElderCare, noted the new personnel come with excellent credentials and experience to equip them for the new roles they will assume at ElderCare.
