Honoring the struggles and achievements of American workers, the month of May is set aside as Labor History Month. This is a month-long observation that recognizes and celebrates the contributions workers have made to the country and raise awareness about the struggles and achievements of the labor movement throughout history.

If you are 55 or older the Older Kansas Employment Program maybe able to help you. Every Wednesday from 10-11 a.m., there is a job opportunities meeting at the Great Bend Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave. Enrolling in this free program for those who are 55 and older provides you with resume compilation, Basis Computer Training; job opportunities; job interview coaching and assistance with job applications.
