ONEOK supports Claflin Fire District #1

CLAFLIN — Claflin Fire District #1 received a $4,871 grant from the ONEOK Foundation. Since 2012 the ONEOK Foundation has supported first responder organizations across Kansas, Colorado, Montana and Wyoming with these yearly grants. The grant will be used for equipment that was placed on the departments new pumper/tanker truck that was delivered last October and replaced the district’s 1969 pumper. The equipment included new fire nozzles, a large diameter intake valve and other miscellaneous loose equipment. The grant allowed Claflin Fire District #1 to put new equipment on the new truck which replaced a lot of outdated and less reliable pieces.

Claflin Fire District #1 covers the townships of Cheyenne, Logan, Independent and Cleveland and responds to assist other neighboring departments. The fire district also provides mutual aid to the ONEOK plant located near Bushton.
