Josh Martin, OPI technician, maintains a Canon copier for a customer.

Josh Martin, who recently joined the service-technician team at Office Products Inc. (OPI), has already earned his first Canon copier certification.
As a copier maintenance technician, Martin is now certified to work on the Canon ImageRunner series of machines that run up to 45 copies per minute. His area of expertise includes the new ImageRunner Advanced Series.
“This special training has given me the ability to better serve our customers,” Martin said. “It has enhanced my skills so that I can troubleshoot, maintain and repair these multi-faceted copiers.
“Because OPI offers the most up-to-date training available, our technicians and sales associates gain certification in a variety of specialties,” he added. “This allows us to advance, which means our customers reap the benefits. When you work for a company, you should strive to consistently develop your skills. OPI gives us the opportunity to do this.”
Martin has lived in Great Bend for most of his life. He earned his high school diploma at Salina’s Education Center in 1999. His employment experience includes banquet and kitchen manager at the Highland Hotel. He also worked in the oilfield in a number of capacities, including driller.
Willie Spires, OPI service manager, noted that Martin achieved a 100 percent on his training and final grade at the two-week course at the Canon regional training facility in Dallas.
“Josh is a very reliable and dependable technician,” Spires said. “He is a welcome addition to our staff at OPI.”
