Relay 5K Raises $2,700 The Relay for Life 5K Run/Walk resulted in a net proceeds of $2,700 for the fundraising teams at Great Bend Regional Hospital and the Heartland Cancer Center. The race was a joint effort between the two volunteer groups, and both will donate their cumulative earnings to the American Cancer Society following the annual Relay for Life festival on June 10, in Hoisington. Pictured are Thomas and Ashley Stanley, who took home the prizes for best male and best female overall. The couple are both Great Bend natives that now live in Wichita. Thomas also won first place in his age division with a time of 19:17. Ashley won second place in her age group (the same age group as Thomas) with a time of 21:40.
