“Having a benefit auction with the proceeds going to the Clara Barton Hospital Foundation was a great way for us to support our medical providers and helps enhance services for our residents at the same time,” reports Bryan Stacey, Executive Director at RiverBend Assisted Living, in Great Bend. “Our two facilities are a natural fit and have a great working relationship.”
River Bend remodeled their common areas at the 13-year-old facility, installing new carpet, wallpaper, lighting, kitchenette, and updating furniture, window treatments, dining tables and chairs, art work, and décor. All of the existing materials and fixtures were sold at auction in November, and the proceeds, totaling $3,018.23, were donated to the Foundation to be used for the capital campaign funding the Therapy Services and Laundry Facility expansion, a project that has enhanced the services offered and increased staff at Clara Barton Hospital.
Clara Barton Hospital Foundation is a charitable organization, focused on promoting the health of the patients and communities that Clara Barton Hospital serves. CBHF is currently raising funds for an expansion of the hospital, to house a new Therapy Services department and laundry facility, to offer more services to patients in the area and significant cost savings to the hospital. As a critical access, non-profit, private hospital, CBHF is using a combination of grants, tax credits, donations, and a pledge campaign to fund the project.
