Area residents now have a place to conveniently take those antiquated or broken electronics products that they’ve been collecting over the years. Rosewood Services recently opened Rosewood ECycle in downtown Great Bend where it offers free, convenient e-waste recycling.

People can drop off their electronics for recycle at Rosewood Maintenance Building, 2200 Main, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. They can also drop off products at Rosewood Bargain Barn, 1215 Main, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Rosewood ECycle accepts computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, laptops, televisions, video game consoles, DVD players and VCRs, cameras, cell phones, telephone equipment and just about any other electronic device. Donors will receive a tax deduction receipt when they drop off working electronic equipment for re-sale.

“By recycling with us, you’ll benefit our community, the environment, and you’ll help create jobs for people with developmental disabilities,” said Tammy Hammond, CEO and founder of Rosewood Services. “This is a program that has been in the planning stages for quite some time as we worked on fine-tuning our process. We’re excited to finally open the doors on this new green business that will give our clients additional work opportunities and serve a vital need for the community.”
