Regina Millenheft made an impact during first year as a Rosewood Services employee. A residential manager, Millenheft started her position in February of last year and capped off her first year by earning the “Shining Star of the Year” award for 2012. She was nominated by her peers for stepping up to provide clients with care and supports beyond her normal management duties.
“She enjoys her job and does what it takes to get the job done, even if that means coming in on her Saturdays off,” said Amanda Hammond-Fellers, Rosewood director of services. “Regina is always available when a crisis situation occurs. She will never leave a trainer to handle a difficult situation without support. We are truly appreciative of the hard work and dedication that she shows to Rosewood and those we serve.”
Millenheft received her award during the employee Christmas party in late December. She was joined by co-workers Sherri Nickelson and Melonie Myers, who were also recognized for their stellar employee performances in 2012. Millenheft received a trophy and a $200 gift card for earning the top spot. Nickelson took home a $100 gift card and a small trophy for second place. And Myers received a $50 gift card for her award.
Nicholson is director of Day Services. She was nominated by her peers for her thoughtfulness to others, going beyond her normal duties on a weekly basis, and being respected and admired by clients and employees.
The finalists were chosen from the ongoing recognition program where employees are recognized periodically throughout the year. From that list of exceptional employees, the three were selected as the top employees for this year.
“Our employees are among our greatest resources in our daily effort to effectively serve those with developmental disabilities,” said Tammy Hammond, executive director and founder of Rosewood Services. “Earning annual Shining-Stars recognition is a significant accomplishment for all three of our award recipients. Regina, Sherri and Melonie are exceptional employees and true difference-makers for Rosewood Services.”
