Sharron Pace

Sharron Pace, Tax Supervisor in the Barton County Treasurer’s Office, will be honored at a retirement reception beginning at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main – Room 101 in Great Bend. Pace started her career with the County in 1992 and has served in various positions in the Treasurer’s Office. No matter what her title, her chief focus has been in overseeing all aspects of the real property tax collection. She has assisted in the development of the programming used for tax collections, in the form and function of the tax assessment sheets as mailed to the public and in coordinating the sale of property at the annual tax sale. In addition to this, she has worked with taxpayers in the purchase and renewal of vehicle tags and in the training of new employees. While her knowledge base will be sorely missed, Kevin Wondra, County Treasurer, and the department employees join in wishing Pace a happy retirement. She will be leaving Great Bend to live in Wichita, near her son, his wife and new grandson, Dylan. The public is invited to attend the reception.
