Sunflower Bank announced its recent total donations of $2,055 to charitable organizations in the Great Bend and Ellinwood area. The donations will benefit Ellinwood Area Churches Food Bank, Heart of Kansas Family Health Care, United Way of Central Kansas, Ellinwood Senior Care Center and the Reality U financial literacy program from Ellinwood USD 355.

These contributions were made as part of Sunflower Bank’s community development program that supports local organizations that strive to better the lives of those in the communities it serves.

“At Sunflower Bank, we create possibility by encouraging community involvement through employee volunteerism and careful consideration of our charitable giving efforts,” said Becca Maxwell, senior branch manager in Ellinwood and Great Bend. “We are pleased to be able to support and partner with these area organizations to help strengthen and make a difference in our community.”

In addition to gifts through its community development program, Sunflower Bank supports local schools and students annually through its signature ABC Program. Total donations since the program began in 2001 are over $1,400,000.

This year-round program provides much-needed donations for the benefit of students in local schools, by having customers use their debit card to make everyday purchases. Learn more at either the Great Bend or Ellinwood branch locations.
