Waddell & Reed announces that Richard Thompson has joined the firm as a Financial Advisor in the Great Bend area. Prior to joining Waddell & Reed Thompson, 44, was a Sales Manager with Ninnescah Drilling, LLC, where he had worked for five years.
As a personal financial advisor, Thompson will help develop customized financial plans, recommend investment strategies and counsel clients throughout the area. He has a passion for financial planning and enjoys working closely with others which Thompson believes makes him an ideal fit as a financial advisor.
Previously, Thompson also has worked for the Claflin School District as a teacher and coach for nine years, and Skyline Schools in Pratt as the K-8 Principal for seven years. Thompson graduated from Mankato Jr/Sr High in 1990. He then earned a bachelor’s degree in 1995 and master’s degree in 2004 from Fort Hays State University.
