Treader’s Deli, located at 1309 Main Street in Great Bend, recently celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting and Business After Hours event. As the seventh of the MyTown stores to open, the new restaurant serves soups, salads, sandwiches, and snacks from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

"The MyTown project has seen continuous growth and improvement since its launch in 2008," said general manager Tina Mingenback. "We are very pleased with our progress, and hope that community members will come check out our delicious menu."

In addition to lunch and dinner, Treader’s is also a new hot spot for meetings and birthday parties. "We have two areas available for rent," Mingenback said. "Our Kidz Zone play room is open all the time for just $1 per person, but can be rented for birthday parties as well. In addition, we have meeting rooms available for rent or they can be used for free if its users are ordering off our menu."

The purpose of the MyTown project’s inception was to create a lively atmosphere downtown. Treader’s now gives parents the opportunity to bring their kids along with them while they shop, and serves as a great hub for family-oriented events throughout the year.
