Great Bend USD 428 is proud to celebrate the career milestones of 65 staff members in 2023. This year’s group boasts a combined 750 years of service to the students and families of Great Bend Schools.

“Each year of service represents hundreds of students who have benefited from the dedication and expertise of our talented staff,” said Khris Thexton, USD 428 superintendent. “Teachers in front of a classroom, support staff who keep our schools running, paraprofessionals, teacher assistants, food service staff, and more – it takes the dedicated work of our whole team to provide high-quality educational opportunities.”

USD 428 launched the Milestones Program in 2020 to acknowledge the career longevity of all team members. The program provides recognition of career milestones in 5-year increments.
