First Kansas Bank is pleased to announce that Cassaundra Vedder, assistant vice president, has successfully completed Independent Community Bankers Association Education’s Certified BSA/AML Professional program and has earned the professional designation Certified BSA/AML Professional – CBAP. The education division of the Independent Community Bankers of America offers eleven certification programs, which are accredited by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).

To earn certification, Vedder attended the recent ICBA BSA/AML Institutesm and successfully completed the certification examination covering the fundamental concepts of BSA regulations and their applications. 

First Kansas Bank President and CEO Paul Snapp commented, “With this certification, Cassaundra has demonstrated a mastery of key banking concepts for professional development.  This certification will contribute to the safety and soundness of First Kansas Bank’s operations. I commend her for her hard work in completing this difficult and important banking educational program.”
