Great Bend Regional Hospital is developing a volunteer program to further enhance the focus on their patients. GBRH is seeking volunteers to help in various departments throughout the hospital. They will provide a variety of services that support the medical and non-medical needs for the patients and their families. Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist in escorting patients, serve as host in our family waiting rooms, provide a helping hand in the cafeteria, and offer a calming conversation or a warm smile.
Pam Chambers, Administrator states, “We feel that the volunteer program will complement the professional services in both patient care and support service areas. Volunteers can be the one to brighten a person’s day and in return have theirs brightened.”
This is a great opportunity for high school students, college students, retirees, or anyone that can spare a few hours to help hospital patients, their families, and visitors.
