Barton County provides additional COVID-19 testing sites

Barton County Public Information Officer Donna Zimmerman announced Friday evening The Barton County Health Department, in conjunction with NIC, Inc. and the State of Kansas, is offering a new COVID-19 PCR testing site in Barton County to allow residents more opportunities to be tested. TourhHealth will be operating a drive through facility at Barton Community College, 245 NE 30 Rd., Great Bend, beginning Saturday Nov. 27.

This service is funded through the State of Kansas, provided at no cost, and available to anyone, symptomatic or not. Test results will be available approximately three days after collection. The hours for testing are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., every day of the week, including weekends. No appointment is necessary; however, one may be obtained through the TourHealth app, or at Tourhealth.com. For further information, visit Tourhealth.com.
