Due to the high number of COVID-19 cases in the community, and in an effort to reduce community transmission, the Great Bend Municipal Court is cancelling all dockets, including trials and first appearances, starting Friday and until further notice, city officials announced Friday morning.

Notices of rescheduling cases will be sent by mail to all defendants and defense counsel. Defendants should call the Court Clerk’s office at 620-793-4124 to update information during normal business.  

The court will remain open for walk-in business from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Those with court business are strongly encouraged to conduct the business via telephone, email or fax whenever possible.  Anyone entering the court offices are required to wear masks. 

The payment of fines and assessments may also be made by check or money order by depositing the same in a sealed envelope marked “Municipal Court” in the drop box for utility payments at the front of the City Building at 1209 Williams Street.  The case number or ticket number should be written on the document. Cash payments are discouraged.
