The Kansas Department of Health and Environment released its weekly update of COVID-19 data on Wednesday. As of 9 a.m., there were 2,574 new cases and 26 new deaths reported since Wednesday, Nov. 9.
The Weekly Cumulative Incident Rate for area counties covers the period from Nov. 5-11. The most recent five days are not included as data is expected to be incomplete. Pawnee County, which only had one new case the week before, had 16 for this period.
Based on new cases, the county rates are ranked “high,” 100 or more cases per 100,000 people; “substantial,” 50-99 cases per 100,000; “moderate,” 10-49 cases per 100,000; or “low,” fewer than 10 cases per 100,000.
Here are the new cases and rankings for area counties:
• Barton, 24 - Substantial (93.1 per 100,000)
• Ellsworth, 3 - Moderate (49.2)
• Pawnee, 16 - High (249.5)
• Rice, 4 - Moderate (41.9)
• Rush, 2 - Substantial (65.9)
• Russell, 11 - High (160.4)
• Stafford, 1 - Moderate (24.1)
