2023 Hathaway Family Reunion

The annual Hathaway reunion, families of the 12 children of the late John William and Reno Hathaway, was held July 29, at the I.O.O.F. Lodge in St. John with 70 attending.

A covered dish lunch was served at noon. After lunch, family pictures were taken. Oldest and youngest family members attending were Fern Tompkins at 92 years and Griffin Smith at two weeks.

In attendance from St. John were Mark and Doris Tompkins; Wade and Tonya Sanders; Kerry and Rita Suiter; Lonnie and Diane Staub; Zoe Staub, Judy Shelton, Jerry, Joe and Seth Hathaway; Tammy Knoche, Michael, Blakely and Boden Sanders.

Attending from out of town were: Fern Tompkins, Teresa Bachand, Shari Koptik, Megan and Brinley Knoche; Jayann, Prosper, Lawton, and Damaris Clark; Sara, Savanah, Morgan, and Riley Tutak, all of Great Bend; Vertabell Hathaway, Vicki Bunn, Brenda Goodwin and Shawn Prugle, Spencer Hathaway and Casey Williams, all of Hutchinson; Rachella Briggs, Brian and Tracy Briggs, Wendi Rieb, Loretta Karst, Stacey Utech, all of Topeka; Jordann, Victoria and Merrik Madrigal, Karen Zamarripa, all of Wichita; Haley Sizemore, Lane Davis, Colt Davis and Griffin Smith, all of Stafford; Sally Edwards and Alyssa of South Hutchinson; Heather Sizemore, MaKiah Webber, Evan Drummond, all of Hoisington; Randy and Pat Carr of Douglas; and Marilyn and Bernard Appelhans of Valley Center.

Attending from out of state were Susan Miller of Bartlesville, Okla.; Leah Tompkins of Northport, Ala.; Ron Cadman and Sean Tyler LaFremiere of Bellingham, Wash.; Jim Hathaway of Colorado Springs; Percy and Joyce Abshire, Sheila McLain, Sandra Bantel, Kyle and Kimberly Rabalais, all of Boyce, La.

The 2024 reunion in St. John will be announced at a later date.
