Arlis and Shirley Atteberry of Larned will celebrate their 60th anniversary today.
Shirley Oetken and Arlis Atteberry were united in marriage on Nov. 16, 1954, at the Peace Lutheran Church in Albert. Arlis retired from the Postal Service after 34 years and was a Pawnee County Commissioner for 12 years. Shirley worked at the Larned State Hospital, Pawnee County Extension Office and retired from Farm Credit. The couple have two children, Kim (Greg) Smith of Larned and Matt(Pam) Atteberry of Parsons; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
