Thomas and Darleen Demel of Hoisington will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m., on May 7,  at the St. John Catholic Parish Center, 122 E. 5th Street, in Hoisington. Hosts for the event will be their three children, Janet and Shawn Jonas of Hoisington, Tammy and Pete Burke of Wylie, Texas, and Tom Demel of Wichita; and four grandchildren, Austin Jonas and wife Katie of St. Joseph, Mo., Audra Jonas of Manhattan, Brandon Burke of Nevada, Texas, and Walter Burke of  Wylie, Texas. Friends and family are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.
Thomas Demel and Darleen Graves were united in marriage on May 6, 1961 at St. John Parish, in Hoisington.
