Lawrence and Trevlyn Detmer of Pratt will celebrate their 60th anniversary on Sept. 3, with a family dinner at the Club D’est in Pratt.
Trevlyn Shumway and Lawrence Detmer were married on Sept. 1, 1956, in Turon at the Church of the Assumption. Lawence was a lifelong printer, beginning at the Pratt Tribune in 1956 and ending with his own business, LTD Printing in Ellinwood in 2006. Trevlyn was a homemaker and worked various clerical jobs retiring after 24 years as City Treasurer for the City of Ellinwood. The couple has four children, Dan Detmer (Melba) of Overland Park, LeAnne Ludes (Jennifer) of Omaha, Neb., Christi George (Barry) of Wichita and Roberta Fankhauser (Rick) of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and eight grandchildren.
