Jim and Joan Forrest will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a card shower and reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on June 21 , at Glory Be in Larned. Hosts for the event will be their children, Kimberly Forrest and Kevin and Hollie Forrest; and grandchildren, Adele Forrest and James Forrest, all of Houston, Texas.
Joan Anderson and Jim Forrest were united in marriage on June 21, 1964, in Randall. Residents of Larned, Jim was employed by Larned State Hospital and Joan was employed by Best Western Townsman Inn and the Pawnee County Extension Office. Both are retired.
