Alan and Sheila Oeser of Claflin will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Dec. 29 with a card shower.
Sheila Heinz and Alan Oeser were united in marriage on Dec. 29, 1962 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Claflin. Alan has been a life long farmer in the Barton, Ellsworth county areas. Sheila is a retired elementary teacher for the Claflin schools. The couple has four children, Allison Layne of Stafford, Chris and Debbie Oeser, Phil and Raylette and Jon and Jane Oeser, all of Claflin; seven grandchildren, Spc. Jordan Keenan of Augusta, Ga., now being deployed to Kuwait, Chandler Keenan of Larned, Bethany and Taylor Oeser and Lawson, Lexi and Lauren, all of Claflin; four step-granddaughters, Kristi and husband Kelly Nixon of Claflin, Kari and husband Dae VanPelt of Holcomb and Kylie and husband Rick Crawford of Hoisington; 11 step-grandchildren, Kaleb, Kassidy and Kambree Nixon of Claflin, Daegan, Jayln, Camryn and Ian of Holcomb and Kylie, Elli Mae, Kobe and Rilynn of Hoisington.
