Arlan and Juanita Parker will celebrate their 60th anniversary on June 16 with a card shower.
Juanita Pember and Arlan Parker were united in marriage on June 16, 1957, at the First Baptist Church in Ness City. Juanita is retired from teaching education in Ness County for 40 years. Arlan is retired from farming and ranching. The couple raised registered Salers cattle for several years before retiring. They have a son, Harlan and wife Laura of Phoenix, Maryland; and four grandchildren, Dylan Parker of Towson, Md., Christian Parker of Philadelphia, Pa., Elysha McAdoo of Springfield, Mo. and Benjamin McAdoo of Lake, St. Louis, Mo. They have a late daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Stephen McAdoo.
