Loren and Arlene Schamaun will celebrate their 65th anniversary on April 29, with a family dinner and card shower.
Arlene Strecker and Loren Schamaun were united in marriage on April 29, 1951, at the United Methodist Church in Bazine. The couple has two children, Marsha Gerstner and Steve Schamaun and wife Sheryl, both of Great Bend; five grandchildren, Emily Gerstner, Matt Gerstner and fiance Danielle Schifferdecker, all of Wichita, Adam Gerstner and wife Hillary of Lawrence, Zach Schamaun and wife Lauren, and Nicolas Schamaun and Valerie McAtee, all of Overland Park; and one great-granddaughter, Audrey Kate Schamaun.
