Greg and Kim Schenk of Great Bend announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Schenk, to Jace Smith, son of Craig and Kari Smith of Great Bend. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Bernard and MaryJo Schenk and Paul and Trella Berscheidt, all of Great Bend. Grandparents of the prospective groom are George and Shirley Shelton and PD and Fritzie Smith, all of Great Bend.
The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Great Bend High School. She is employed at The Buckle in Leawood in the Management Program.
The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of Great Bend High School. In 2011, he graduated from Kansas State University with a business degree. He is employed by The Buckle in Overland Park in the Men’s Buying Team.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 23 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemporist Catholic Church in Kansas City, Mo.
