Jim and Ruth Steitz of Great Bend celebrated their 50th anniversary on Aug. 21st. A family dinner is planned for this fall.
Ruth Van Winkle and Jim Steitz were united in marriage on Aug. 21, 1964, at the Methodist Church in Byers. The couple has three children, Kim and Steve Kummer of Great Bend, Vicki and Brad Tucker of Milford, Neb. and Brenda and John French of Council Grove; and nine grandchildren, Bailee, Miranda and Cason Tucker of Milford, Neb. and Brendan Steitz, Emilie, Hawk, Natalie, Blaise and Grace French of Council Grove.
