Al Kroeker of Great Bend will celebrate his 95th birthday with a reception from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 at Sterling House 1206
Patton Road. Hosts for the event will be his family. His children are Bob Kroeker of Overland Park and daughter Sally O’Connor of Great Bend. The public is invited.
Al grew up in Barton County, served in World War II, and was twice Commander of Great Bend American Legion Post 180. He was married to Eldeen for 67 years. She passed in 2008. He was parts manager of Bell Engine Service for many years. In retirement, he remained active in his church and became a talented artist, whose paintings were featured in several exhibits and in the hallways of Sterling House.
