Bernard A. Schneweis will celebrate his 90th birthday with a reception from 1 to 4 p.m. on June 6, at the Cedar Park Place Community Room, 3910 Cedar Park Place, in Great Bend, just off McKinley Street. Hosts for the event will be his sons Richard Schneweis and Alan Schneweis.
Richard Schneweis was born on June 4, 1925, at home on the Claflin Homestead. He was employed by Rice Engineering in Great Bend, retiring in 1988. His wife Delores C. Schneweis died on July 13, 2013. He has seven sons, Leon and Cinda Schneweis, of Lawrence, Richard and Debbie Schneweis, of Claflin, Mark Schneweis, of Fallon Nev., Alan and Susan Schneweis, of Ellinwood, Paul and Renee Schneweis, of Fort Brag,g N.C., Anthony and Robin Schneweis, of Manhattan, and Michael Schneweis, of Great Bend.
