Carlton Garner will celebrate his 80th birthday on Oct. 19, with a card shower.
Carlton was born on Oct. 19, 1937, in Great Bend to James and Ponzetta Garner. On June 11, 1961, he married his wife Rosetta in Great Bend. He retired from Larned State Hospital after serving over 32 years to the State of Kansas. He has four daughters, Lynette Barse, Denise Garner, Sheri Garner and Angelina Garner; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
