Marvin Riggs will celebrate his 90th birthday with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 2, at the First Church of Nazarene in Great Bend.
Marvin Riggs was born on Aug. 1, 1925, in Rush Center. His wife Ruth Riggs died on Sept. 5, 2004. A resident of Great Bend, he retired from the United States Postal Service in 1984. His children are Terry Rigs (Sheila) of Oklahoma City, Okla., Dale Riggs (Betty), Marcia Burhenn and Keith Riggs (Kathy), all of Great Bend.
