Edwin and Geraldine Piland of Great Bend will celebrate their 80th birthdays with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on July 6 at the Great Bend Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave. Hosts for the event will be their children, Neil and Becky Piland, and Tom and Maria Piland, all of Topeka, and Cindy and Mike Stevenson, of Fort Collins Colo.
Edwin was born on Jan. 28, 1933 in Stafford county. Geraldine was born on Aug. 10, 1933 in San Francisco, Calif.
