Velorris Boese will celebrate her 80th birthday on April 17 with a buffet luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Water’s Edge in Hesston, hosted by her children, Stanley and Zeta Boese, Roberta and Jay Osborn, and Kevin and Becky Boese.
Velorris was born April 17, 1931 in Great Bend. After graduating from Oklahoma Bible Academy and Bethel College, she married Robert Boese, and they adopted a daughter and two sons. Her pride and joy are her five grandsons, two granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren. She is a member of the Bergthal Mennonite Church in Pawnee Rock. She now resides in Schowalter Village in Hesston.
