Vera Bellendir will celebrate her 80th birthday with a come-and -go reception from 2 to 5 p.m. on April 29 at the Best Western, 2910 10th in Great Bend.
Vera was born on April 29, 1932, in Lorretta. She married Vern Bellendir. He died in 2008. In 1996, she retired. She has three children, Brian and Carol Bellendir of Great Bend, Lynee and Jim Habiger of Kinsley and Tracy and Mark Ummen of Springfield, Va.; grandchildren Audrey and Adam Bellendir, Megan and Clayton Habiger, Chris and Sarah Ummen, and Ryan and Sarah Howard; and great-grandchild Lyrie Howard.
