Warren “Swanee” Johnson will celebrate his 90th birthday with a reception/open house from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, 701 N. Fritz Ave., in Ellinwood.
Warren “Swanee” Johnson was born on May 27 in Ellinwood. On Sept. 13, 1948 he married Helen L. Johnson. She died on Sept. 12, 2009. Warren is self-employed. He was employed as a petroleum engineer. He has three children, Wade and Denise Johnson, Mark Johnson, Jan and Phil Roth; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren with a fourth due in November.
