William F. Maneth will celebrate his 80th birthday on March 13 with his family, wife Kay, daughter Jennifer Maneth and sons John and David Maneth, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
William Maneth was born at the St. Rose Hospital in Great Bend to William L. and Mary (Mauler) Maneth. He was raised on the family farm north west of Great Bend and, except for his stint in the Army, has lived in Great Bend his entire life. On Aug. 24, 1957, he married Kay Dorfshaffer in Great Bend. They will celebrate their 56th anniversary in August. Bill served in the U.S. Army Heavy Artillery during the Korean conflict. He was employed with Midwest Farm Machinery, PAMCO, and Great Bend Farm Equipment, all in parts sales.
