Howard and Phyllis Bosley of Great Bend will celebrate their 60th anniversary and Howard’s 80th birthday with a family dinner in Kansas City, hosted by their sons and families.
Phyllis Kay Bantam and Howard Bosley were united in marriage on Aug. 24, 1958, at the Presbyterian Church in Oleans, Neb. The couple has lived in Great Bend since 1973, previously living in Ellsworth, Lexington, Neb., and Lincoln, Neb., where Howard received his Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Nebraska. Howard was employed by Northern Natural Gas Company (an Enron Company) in Bushton and Great Bend for 25 years before retiring in 1993. He previously worked at the Canaday Steam Plant in Lexington, Neb. Phyllis was a professional volunteer, retiring in 2015. The couple have four children, Gene (Cindy) Bosley of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Robert (Tamara) Bosley of Raymore, Mo., Eric (Jennifer) Bosley of Augusta and Christina Bosley of Seattle Wash.; 13 grandchildren; one granddaughter-in-law; and four great-grandchildren.
