Mr. and Mrs. Rick Bussman of Great Bend celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 24, 2018, with a dinner and dance for their relatives and friends at the Wolf Hotel in Ellinwood. An anniversay cake was made and decorated by Leanna Bussman and special friend Trudy Miller, both from Viola.

Hosts for the celebration were sons and their families, Ryan and Leanna Bussman from Viola, and Derrick and Sarah Bussman from Hays. Grandchildren present were Melynda, Shelby, Trenton, Ainsley, Ashlyn and Robert John Bussman.

Derinda Garrett and Rick Bussman were married on May 24, 1968, at the Methodist Church in Turley, Okla. Rick is retired from sales at Dove Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac. Derinda is a retired K-State Extension Barton County FACS Agent.
