Student Library Assistant Lexi Thomas will be highlighting different Ellinwood High School seniors throughout the school year in our “Check It Out” column. Each senior will answer questions from a selection of prompts, giving readers an opportunity to learn something new and unique about each student. This week’s Featured Senior Spotlight is Camila Frayre.

Camila Frayre is a senior at Ellinwood High School. Her family includes her parents, Heriberto and Aracely, and her siblings, Cesar and Alexa.

When asked about a book she would recommend, Camila chose “Reminders of Him” by Colleen Hoover, because it’s a very emotional and gut-wrenching book, but she loves how interesting it is.

While at Ellinwood High School, Camila has been involved in NHS, FFA, Yearbook, Mystics, Musical, Choir, Culinary Arts, KAY, Zero Reasons Why, Stuco, and Tennis. She is also a State Tennis Qualifier, an accomplishment to be proud of! Camila’s favorite class is Mystics. She loves singing at the Christmas concert and singing the national anthem before football and basketball games.

Camila’s plan after graduation is to attend Fort Hays State University to earn her BSN in nursing and she hopes to become an OB/GYN nurse or a Family Nurse Practitioner.

We wish Camila a wonderful senior year as she begins this exciting chapter of her life!
