Student Library Assistant Gracyn Dombroski will be focusing on different Ellinwood High School seniors throughout the year to spotlight, and this will be featured in our Check It Out column. Today we have two Senior Spotlights. They are Kadie Bailey and Taylor Poteet.

Kadie is a senior at EHS. Her family members are Aimee, Chance, Cooper, and Kodie. “All Your Perfects” is Kadie’s favorite book because it is a very meaningful story. Her favorite quote is, “Just Keep Swimming.” Kadie’s advice for incoming students is not to be shy and take those risks. What makes EHS special to her is how you know pretty much everyone and can grow close to a lot of the teachers. Her plan after graduation is to go to Barton for the nursing program.

We wish Kadie a great year in her senior chapter!

Taylor is a senior at EHS. His family members are Ryan, Amy, Phil, Allie, and Jacob. “Halo First Contact” is Taylor’s favorite book, because it is a great introduction into the Halo franchise. His favorite quote is, “Do it because no one will.” Taylor’s advice for incoming students is don’t be afraid and smile. His greatest challenge is losing friends. Taylor’s favorite teacher is Mr. O’Neil, because he is an open-minded guy that helps out all students and is involved with Scholars Bowl.
