American Legion Post #128 to host reunion/dinner

The 17th Annual Kansas Iwo Jima Reunion and Dinner was founded by the late Walt Vincent in 1996. This is the inaugural year to include other World War II veterans. The event will be on May 5 at the Arden H. McKee American Legion Post #128, 108 East Garfield in Sterling, The door will open at 2:30 p.m. for refreshments and viewing of memorabilia. All veterans are invited and encouraged to bring personal memorabilia.
Colors will be presented at 6 p.m. followed by the serving of dinner. The meal will cost $12 per person, at the door. Menu will be tossed salad, choice of smothered steak or fried chicken, baked potato, green beans, bread, and dessert, coffee, or tea; food substitution available upon request.
Reservations are due by April 29th. It is very important to make your meat dish selection with your reservations so there will not be a shortage of food. If you find you will have more guests coming after you have made your reservation, please call and let us know.
