Local 4H’ers traveled to Sedgwick County on Feb. 25, to compete in an air rifle competition. There were eight Barton county 4H’ers and 51 4H’ers from other counties across the state.
Competing for Barton county in the 10-13 year old division were Gus Corbett from Ellinwood, Parker Dicks and Will Smith, both from Great Bend. Smith finished the day with a 3rd place finish in the division.
Representing Barton County in the 14 year old division was Woodson Corbett from Ellinwood and Dalton Dicks from Great Bend. Dicks finished 4th in the division.
In the 15 and 16 year old division, from Barton county, was Parker Smith from Great Bend and Katelyn Reh from Ellinwood. Smith finished the day with 1st place in the division and Reh finished 3rd.
From Barton county, competing in the 17 and 18 year old division, was Lake Lyman from Ellinwood.
There were nine counties with four person teams at the match. The Barton county team of Parker Smith, Katelyn Reh, Lake Lyman and Dalton Dicks placed 2nd in the team competition.
