Barton County 4Hers compete at State Small Bore Rifle Match

After practicing all summer and traveling to several small bore qualifying matches, six Barton county 4H’ers traveled to Capital City Gun Club in Topeka to compete in the 2016 State 4H Small Bore Rifle Match.
Representing Barton county were Aron Vanier, Caleb Straub, Alivia Bautista, Jace Schwager and Parker Smith from Great Bend and Katelyn Reh from Ellinwood.
The Barton County team was Parker Smith and Katelyn Reh with Jace Schwager as the alternate. The team placed 2nd in the competition.
In the 3 position match, Jace Schwager placed 5th in the standing position. Katelyn Reh placed 5th in the kneeling position.
In the NRA silhouette match, Parker Smith placed 3rd.
In overall scores, Parker Smith placed 3rd, Katelyn Reh placed 9th and Jace Schwager placed 10th.
