The Barton County Association of Retired School Personnel met on May 16, at Montana Mike’s. President Sally O’Connor presided over the meeting. There were 42 members present, with one guest, Dr. Tom Vernon.
Election of Officers will be held at the September meeting. Members are encouraged to invite new retirees to the meeting.
Information was given about the upcoming state KARSP Convention in Hutchinson June 25-27. One of the speakers is Jeff Baxter who is originally from Great Bend.
Angela Schepman, Donna Staab and Megan Barfield presented the program on CASA and encouraged anyone interested to become a volunteer.
All retired school personnel in Barton County are invited and encouraged to become involved in the local group. The next meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 12, at Montana Mike’s.
Retired school personnel are invited to get involved and guests are always welcome.
