Great Bend Saddle Club will have a play day on Saturday, Aug. 27, at the arena west of Great Bend. Activities will start around 5:30 p.m.

Club members Jim Boyles and Glenda Eye plan to set up several obstacles in the arena. These are modeled after ones used for the Extreme Trail Ride Competitions.

Club secretary Judy Demel said there is a $5 fee and a release to sign for non-members to participate. "If you would like to just observe that is OK, too.
