League of Women Voters of Great Bend will hold the monthly meeting at noon on Tuesday, at The Club at Stone Ridge. Lunch will be from the menu. The program will be provided by Karen Neuforth, who will be speaking on the importance of the arts in our lives. All of the innovation that have come from artisan and what we would not have in our lives if we didn’t have the cultural arts for ideas and designs. The luncheon is informal and time will be allowed for discussion from the floor. Since the governor is threatening to line veto the arts support, we need to understand the importance of them. The public is invited to attend and participate in the discussion.
League is a non-partisan organization devoted to informing and educating the voting public on national, state, and local issues of importance. Membership is open to both men and women.
